Who is this executive function coaching for?

Executive function coaching with Meghan Michalski is also for individuals and entrepreneurs who want stronger planning, prioritizing, time management and focus, along with creative strategy, in their work. If you run your own venture or do creative work, and you want support with how you organize your time, your thinking and your attention, this page is for you.

Meghan describes her work as a holistic approach to executive functioning and creative strategy, grounded in theory and research on organizational and socio-emotional interventions.

What does the coaching cover?

Meghan builds the executive function skills that support daily success. The skills she builds include:

  • Planning and prioritizing
  • Communication and thought organization
  • Cognitive flexibility
  • Time management
  • Emotion regulation

Around those skills, the work can draw on several tools:

  • Strategies for growth. Building interpersonal and professional skills, plus creative, organization and attentional strategies to support meaningful change.
  • Attention training. Research-based techniques that help you cultivate awareness and increase concentration.
  • Mindfulness practices. Meditation and mindfulness techniques to enhance self-awareness, concentration, and emotion and thought regulation.
  • A writing and creative-process method. Used to build self-esteem and executive function skills.

New strategies are first practiced with support. Meghan then works so that you can use them independently, and she also builds your confidence and your understanding of why the strategies matter for performance. The aim is long-term self-sufficiency.

How does the coaching work?

Meghan starts by assessing how you process information, and she prioritizes trust and rapport while she does. She then adapts concepts and organizational strategies to the way you perceive and understand things. Her approach is relational: she holds space for authenticity while using your strengths and building up your growth areas.

Sessions are one to one and ongoing, at a regular cadence. This is a long-term coaching relationship, not a fixed-length program. Meghan offers sessions virtually or in person. You can see the areas she serves on the locations page.

Alongside, not instead of, clinical care

Coaching is not a substitute for clinical care. Meghan is a coach and mentor, not a licensed clinician, and where a person already has a care team she works alongside it as one coordinated part of the whole.

Where to go next

The main focus of Meghan’s practice is young adults with mood disorders and executive function coaching for life transitions. This page is for the individuals, entrepreneurs and creatives who work with her alongside that focus.
